LAUNCH UPDATE LIST

Your details. Your choice.

NextUp Competitions uses this optional list to keep you informed about its launch. Joining does not create an account, enter a competition or reserve a prize. The list is not consent for unrelated marketing.

What we keep and why

We store your email address, the launch-update consent wording and version, request time and source, subscription status, confirmation time and a hashed, expiring confirmation secret. Consent is the basis for launch updates. Your signup stays pending until you confirm. Only authorised NextUp administrators can access the list and export confirmed, subscribed addresses.

Where your details are held

The list is stored in Lovable Cloud. A new eligible signup requests one non-promotional verification email through Lovable’s managed email service. Duplicate requests are not emailed again. No launch campaign or external marketing platform is connected. A limited hashed network-address counter and daily request limit prevent abuse, not advertising.

Withdraw or ask about your data

The confirmation email includes Lovable’s secure, hosted unsubscribe option. This stops further app emails from this sender, not account-security emails. For launch-list withdrawal, access, correction or deletion, contact hello@nextupcompetitions.com. We may ask for reasonable evidence that the request is yours. Withdrawn or suppressed addresses are excluded from export and repeat signup never reactivates them. Managed email opt-outs must also be checked before any future campaign.

Important to know

The confirmation link expires after 24 hours and is used only after you confirm on the page. Confirmation shows access to that email link, not verified identity, age or UK residency. Without confirmation, the address is not exported for launch updates. If delivery fails or the link expires, contact us; duplicate signup does not resend it. The age and residency notice is the intended audience, not a verification check.

This focused explanation covers the launch list as currently implemented. NextUp’s broader privacy policy remains a draft. Owner and legal review, including retention, controller details and any future mailing service, is still required before promotion. You can raise data-protection concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
